Creation speakers coming to Sonoma County this fall

For more than 200 years there’s been a concerted effort to progressively put the God of the Bible into the back seat and then standing on the shoulder of the road to knowledge about how things came to be and how we should live.

Why should we care? Because two-thirds of children raised in Christian homes walk away from faith in God by the time they reach college, and a big reason for that is education on origins as early as middle school.

Thankfully, groups of scientists and instructors have risen to the challenge of answering the accusations from Bible skeptics inside and outside the Body of Messiah. Two significant organizations are sending speakers to Windsor in the San Francisco North Bay in October and November.

Jonathan Sarfati of Creation Ministries International at NewSong Church in Windsor, California, on Oct. 25, 2019

Later this month, Creation Ministries International will be sending Jonathan Sarfati, Ph.D., to speak on “Deluge, Design & Dilemma.” He’ll be in Windsor at NewSong Church on Friday, Oct. 25, 6–7:30 p.m., then in Mill Valley at Discussion on Origins on Saturday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m.

“There is no doubt that Jonathan is regarded as one of the world’s leading Christian apologists when it comes to Bible/science related issues and the book of Genesis. His esteemed body of work includes his Refuting series of books, which are not only some of the biggest-selling creationist books ever, but are regarded as keystone books in the defense of a six-day, straightforward understanding of Genesis—both scientifically and theologically. His latest and most important book is The Genesis Account, a thorough 800-page theological and scientific commentary on Genesis 1–11.” (website bio)

Genesis Apologetics speakers at First Baptist Church, Windsor, Nov. 16, 2019Then on Saturday, Nov. 16, 4–9 p.m., Genesis Apologetics will have three speakers for the G1 Genesis Summit at First Baptist Church in Windsor.

There will be sessions for young children and for middle schoolers through adults on Noah’s flood, dinosaurs, amazing examples of design in nature and “debunking the 10 pillars of evolution.”
