The people of God were delivered out of their “house of bondage” (Mitzraim/Egypt) a “mixed multitude.” When they arrived at Mt. Sinai but after God gave His Torah to those assembled and they accepted the Torah, they were no longer a “mixed multitude” but one nation. The “mixed multitude” were grafted into Israel from that point onward.
This also happened at the first Shavuot after Yeshua’s ascension. There was a mixed multitude from every nation in the known world but after Peter preached his Pentecost sermon, 3,000 people who were once separated by language and culture, became one in Messiah Yeshua.
