This week’s Torah reading
- Shavuot (Pentecost) readingsShavuot (“weeks” in Hebrew) is a memorial of the first and second harvest of Israel. The first was at Mount Sinai, where newly freed Israel received the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19–20). The second was at the Temple in Jerusalem 10 days after Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) returned to Heaven (Acts 2), aka Pentecost.
