This 10-week class (Mondays, Sept. 9–Nov. 11, 5–6 p.m. Pacific Time) from TorahResource Learning Center (founded by Tim Hegg) is the first of a three-quarter sequence in Biblical Hebrew. Students will quickly progress from learning to read and write the alphabet and core vocabulary to reading and composing short sentences in Hebrew. By the end of the quarter students will be reading sections from the book of Genesis. The textbook is provided as a downloadable PDF.

This week’s Torah reading
- Readings: Aug. 8, 2026God’s people to let worship shape everyday life. The continually burning menorah in ancient Israel’s Tabernacle, its bread of the Presence, and reverence for God’s Name point to lives centered on — and transformed by — His holiness. Parallel passage Hosea 14 shows that genuine repentance brings restoration, while another parallel, James 3, reminds us that transformed hearts produce wise, peaceable speech. Together, these passages point to Messiah’s work of renewing His covenant people.
