This is a gathering of people in the Santa Rosa area of Sonoma County, in the north San Francisco Bay area of California, who believe that Yeshua of Natzeret (Jesus of Nazareth) is the Anointed One (Christ or Messiah) of the Creator, the God of Israel from long ago. As a \"messianic\" fellowship, we seek to learn together about God from His word, the Bible, via the many lessons encapsulated in the first five books of the Bible and explained by the prophets and the Messiah.

The Shabbat of the seventh day of each week is a memorial that God is the Creator [Gen. 2:2–3; Ex. 20:11] and Redeemer from bondage [Deut. 5:15] and Sanctifier [Exod. 31:13–15], or the One Who sets apart His people from the ignorant or rebellious world. One of the great last messages to the whole world is to “worship Him Who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” Yet today, most children are learning — in school and/or from popular culture — to doubt God because His people are increasingly more afraid of appearing intellectually backward by accepting His testimony of being the Creator than being strong and standing by the only testimony that makes intellectualism possible.
The fall appointed times of God are called the "feasts of ingathering" and are associated with the apocalyptic Day of the LORD. What are the lessons of these festivals that point toward our preparation for what Messiah is going to do? In part two of a discussion of the seventh month of God's calendar, Richard looks into the parallel between the construction of Solomon's Temple in time for one Sukkot (Tabernacles) and the preparation of God's people for the final Sukkot. Like the stones for the first temple that were cut to size elsewhere then moved into location, the people of God will be "trimmed" to the right "size" before being moved to the final site of the LORD's dwelling place on Earth. <itunes:summary>Yeshua continues His theme of His being the Light of Life, Who brings hope to the condemned and penitent, a theme developed in John 8-9. God's mercy and a new beginning are integral to the Eighth Day, an important appointment with God right after the seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Food for thought from the recorded discussion of John 8:20-9:41
John 8:21 — What does Messiah mean by saying “you will not be there”? How is knowing the will of the Father connected to knowing the Father? Yeshua repeats the thought that they “will die in their sins”? Why does Yeshua repeat Himself so many times? What does it mean?
Was justice served against the adulterous woman (John 7:53-8:11)? Was mercy given to the adulterous woman? How was justice served in her case? How is that different than the justice the Jewish leaders will face?
How is the will of the Father explained in the Torah? How is this will of reconciling the world to Himself, to bring humanity back into His home, displayed through the offerings of the life — the blood — of innocent animals?
What is an apology? What is repentance? Do we have the right to ask an aggrieved party for forgiveness? How and when would we forgive someone who has acted against us (see Matthew 18)?
What kind of freedom did Yeshua grant the adulterous woman? Did that freedom have anything to do with her status as a “daughter of Abraham”?
Whose house is Yeshua discussing in John 8:34-36?
Who is the real father of the unbelievers in the audience (John 8:42-44)? Why? How are they similar to the Devil?
John 8:24,28,58 — Yeshua refers to Himself as “I Am” three times. It was on the third time the leaders took up their stones to kill him.
The events in John 9 occur immediately after the discourse in the Temple treasury (John 8:21).
What normally causes congenital blindness? How was this blind man unique? How did Yeshua find this man? Why was this man blind? What is the purpose of the Eighth Day?
What was the most theologically profound comment the blind person said during his questioning (John 9:31)?
On this particular year, the Eighth Day coincides with the seventh-day Sabbath (John 9:14). Is that important? Why?
Why did Yeshua seek out the blind man after his questioning?

<itunes:subtitle>When read contextually, John 7-10 is Yeshua's long discussion of His important functions — God's mercy, the Light of the world — using the concepts wrapped into two feasts of the LORD, the seven-day festival of Sukkot and the following day,</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>When read contextually, John 7-10 is Yeshua's long discussion of His important functions — God's mercy, the Light of the world — using the concepts wrapped into two feasts of the LORD, the seven-day festival of Sukkot and the following day, called the Eighth Day.
Some believers think that Yeshua abolished the Torah, including feasts of the LORD such as Sukkot, a.k.a. the Feast of Booths and the Feast of Tabernacles, because they don't see many references to them in the Apostolic Writings. They say the feasts faded away after Yeshua's resurrection. However, a close reading of those writings reveals that Yeshua's ministry and major sermons often involve one of those appointments with God.
The hidden things of God are slowly being revealed in these Last Days. Just as Yeshua hid Himself from the people during the first few days of Sukkot, the feasts of the Torah and even Chanukah, the festival of dedication discussed in John 10, are tucked into the pages of the Apostolic Writings, hidden treasure from the Kingdom of Heaven for those willing to search.
Food for thought from the recorded discussion of John 7:1-8:19
Why it is so difficult to find references to the Eighth Day in the Apostolic Scriptures?
In the beginning of John 7 we read that the Jewish leadership wanted to kill Yeshua. What time of year was this? What did Yeshua’s brothers tell him to do? How did Yeshua respond? Did he attend the first few days Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot in Hebrew?
Which day did He show up at the Temple during Sukkot? Why were the leaders astonished by Yeshua’s teaching?
What is the will of the Father? Does the Father simply want obedience?
What did Yeshua do on the last day of the Feast (John 7:37)? What did He say? What did He mean?
What day was is the context of John 8? Who recorded this story for us?
Who brought the woman “caught in adultery” to Yeshua? Who was missing from this “trial”? Is the missing party relevant to the overall message?
What did Yeshua write on the ground (John 8:8)? What did Yeshua say? Which was more important, what He wrote of what He said? How did the leadership respond to Yeshua’s word? What did Yeshua say to the woman? How did she respond?
What happened after her “trial” was over (John 8:12)? How does He resume His teaching?
What is the “light of life” (Isa. 49:6)?
What does He tell them about His judgment? Did the woman receive justice, mercy and faith? How?
Where did this part of the message take place (John 8:20)? What is the significance of the fact they were near the Temple treasury?
How does your life change when you are no longer condemned? How does Yeshua judge? Why did He even get involved in this woman’s story?
What does Yeshua say about Himself? How do we know Yeshua’s word is true?
How do men judge? How does this differ from Yeshua’s judgment?
